Orison Swett Marden – Founder of SUCCESS Magazine
Raised as an orphan among several foster families in New Hampshire, Orison Swett Marden lost much of his hotel business in a fire in 1893, rewrote his manuscript from memory as Pushing to the Front (1894) and founded SUCCESS Magazine (1897), laying foundations for modern American self-improvement publishing.
