In China, people do not "download many apps" — they open WeChat once and do everything inside it: messaging, hailing taxis, booking restaurant tables, paying utility bills, requesting company leave, even filing for divorce in court through integrated "mini programs." Founder Allen Zhang calls this vision an "operating system for life" — and the West, with dozens of fragmented apps on every phone, is still struggling to copy it.
