Sseko Designs – The Ribbon Sandals Made by Ugandan Women, and a Mission to Get Girls to University
Sseko Designs is a ribbon-sandal brand founded by Liz Forkin Bohannon and Ben Bohannon that employs young Ugandan women during the "nine-month gap" before university so they can earn tuition. It left Shark Tank in 2015 without a deal, later merged its Fellows network with Noonday Collection, and its Uganda workshop became Arise Kollections, a Ugandan-owned business.
